Tough Mudder Germany returns! Berlin-Brandenburg at the Asparagus and Erlebnishof Klaistow venue – around 30 minutes by car from Berlin city centre.
A really great atmosphere with a startline and finish line MC – a different style and the Tough Mudder pledge in German (I left the full version in the video)
Personally I loved the course – beautiful trails and forests which was so runnable – soft underfoot to protect the knees, but not too soft to make it difficult to run (although it was really sandy in parts!). No mud (no complaints here) so rather than mud mile, it was a sandy quagmire – however this did mean the clean up at the end of the race was pretty easy!
Pretty flat overall in elevation (I wouldnt even call it undulating) and was a good mix between London South trails and South West flatness (if you know your courses!) All of the Tough Mudder favourites were there, but there was three main exceptions – Lumber Jacked had 4 hurdles rather than the one (I liked this!) Hero (Berlin) walls seemed to be much talled and arctic enema was more like the American version – a slide into a pit of water rather than tubes into a skip.
So annoyed as my camera didnt manage to capture this for some reason! Loved the atmosphere within the village and on course, you could tell so many mudders we excited that TOugh Mudder had returned – saw a lot of 2019 and 2018 t shirts!
Really looking forward to 2024 – I will definitely get another Tough Mudder Germany in as well as going to Tough Mudder in Paris (possibly a couple of other countries too!)

Loved it!
Course was amazing, atmosphere was amazing, venue was amazing!
If you ever wanted to do a Tough Mudder outside of the UK, then this one should be towards the top of you list. Berlin is a wonderful city and with the venue around 30 minutes from the city centre is a really easy drive. I also had friends that got there by public transport (seems easier than even some venues in the UK!)
Great running routes, fantastic bratwurst and and amazing atmosphere. I cannot wait to return!
