Day 1 of the epic double-race weekend is officially in the books! 🏃♂️💨 The South West venue is similar to Scotland where there is the Tough Mudder on Saturday and Spartan on Sunday
We took on the brutal and brilliant Tough Mudder South West 2026 at Badminton Estate. The 15km and 5km in the morning and then I swept the course in the afternoon.
From the deep trenches of Mud Mile to the absolute chaos of The Blockness Monster, this course delivered everything you’d expect from a classic TM event.
An observation – not necessarily a criticism that both courses were quite similar with many obstacles being used across both races. 14 obstacles were shared with a further 3 with adapatations.
If you’re a regular reader, you will know this is my least favourite course (just flat with no real character) although some course changes made it less about straight ahead running.
Massive shoutout to everyone out on the course helping each other over the walls and through the mud. That Tough Mudder camaraderie is undefeated!
