Tough Mudder London West 2025 Race Recap

Tough Mudder is back for the 2025 season and what a start.
The weather played a massive part, of course, but with over 15,000 participants over the weekend, the crowds bring the atmosphere. Tough Mudder brought the hills. Over 500m of elevation on the 15km, they just seemed to keep coming!
Due to the 15km and 5km split, this course had two personalities – the 15km split (extra 10km remember) only had an additional 8 obstacles (average of one obstacle every 1.2km), whilst the 5km course had 14 obstacles total (one every 350m on average).
Some great trails and hills in the extra mileage, but more fun…? TBF, it did have Funky Monkey, but the other obstacles weren’t “show stoppers”
However, that aside (just because I enjoy the trail running) the atmosphere on course was electric. Of course, London brings the numbers (London South also has busy weekends) but the sun kept people in the village to soak up the atmosphere.
If you were based in the South of England, honestly, my recommendation would be London South – but otherwise, I would suggest “Why not both?”
