Tough Mudder South West 2021 recap

This weekend has been the best Tough Mudder weekend so far. Not becuase of the course (i think its the most boring course in the Tough Mudder portfolio) but because of the group of friends running together and the absolute giggle we had across the course. You really should watch the video to see the laugh we had!

Although Tough Mudder South West 2021 have all the great obstacles – Everest, Funky Monkey, Well Swung. Bu compared to other courses like Tough Mudder Yorkshire and London West, it lacks character. It almost feels like just long lengths of boring straight runs with obstacles. At least with other courses there’s twists and turns, different terrain, forests, some elvevation. But South West is just flat. And to make it a little worse – you can see how far you have to run in the distance just because its so straight and flat.

Final Thoughts

Maybe I am being a little harsh and I am very fortunate that I am able to travel to all of the Tough Mudder courses. Tough Mudder South West is my least favourite but it’s all relative right? Taking the positives – this is a flat and fast course – really good course for the newbie who it may be their first Tough Mudder – all the great obstacles were here, but its just a shame theres a lot of flat straight running…
