Tough Mudder London West

Start line at season opener

As you may know from my posts, I have really been looking forward to the start of the UK Tough Mudder season. The season opener of Tough Mudder London West (or Henley on Thames to be a little more precise) was April 29, and I was there!

Start line at season opener The course was a very hilly 10 miles with 400m of climbing (over three hills). All of the well known obstacles were present, Mud Mile, BlockNess, Everest, Pyramid Scheme as well as the new version of Funky Monkey (The Revolution) and two new obstacles in Stage 5 Clinger and Agustus Gloop.

The course also featured the “Half Mudder” a shorter, 5 mile course designed for the runners who want to get muddy, but not sure they want to take on 10 miles and some of the more “extreme” obstacles such as Arctic Enema and Electro Shock Therapy.

New T shirts for the season are pretty sweat – a soft cotton feel, quick dry tech shirt along with other goodies from Trek, Goodness Shake and Kingstone Cider Press.

Looking forward to hitting up the rest of the season including Europe’s Toughest Mudder, Ireland and my “home” course TM North West.
